Scuola IMT Alti Studi

The IMT unit currently comprises five members whose research interests range from the reception of the Aristotelian philosophical and scientific tradition in the Arabo-Islamic Middle Ages to the reception of Arabic philosophy in Latin scholasticism. Drawing on the different expertise of its members, the IMT unit will work towards the analysis and valorization of a hitherto neglected textual heritage that testifies to the pivotal role of prophecy in political action in the Arabo-Islamic tradition in the light of its implications in logic, natural philosophy, astronomy, and astrology.
